What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna (Pay in 3). All payments are processed securely.
Can I change or cancel my order?
We process orders quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible at hello@barelayeressentials.co.uk. We'll do our best to help, but we can't guarantee changes once an order is in processing.
Is it safe to shop on BareLayer?
Yes. Our store uses SSL encryption and all payments are processed through Shopify's secure checkout. We never store your card details.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — always. We offer free shipping on every order to the UK, EU, and internationally. No minimum spend, no codes needed. It's applied automatically at checkout.
Where do you ship to?
We ship across the UK, the EU, and internationally including the US, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and more. Full coverage shown at checkout.
How long will my order take?
UK orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 7–10 business days. International orders typically arrive within 10–18 business days. Delivery times may vary slightly during busy periods.
Is BareLayer a UK brand?
Yes. BareLayer is a UK-based kawaii-inspired essentials brand. Every order is quality-checked before it ships.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking link. You can also track your order anytime at our Track My Order page.
🔄 Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags attached. For hygiene reasons, socks and hair accessories can only be returned if unopened and in original packaging. See our full Refund Policy for details.
How do I start a return?
Email us at hello@barelayeressentials.co.uk with your order number and reason for return. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
When will I receive my refund?
Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days back to your original payment method. You'll receive a confirmation email once your refund has been issued.
👗 Sizing & Fit
How does BareLayer sizing run?
Our pieces are designed with a relaxed, slightly oversized fit. If you're between sizes, size down for a more fitted look or stay true to size for the relaxed look shown in our photos. Each product page includes a detailed size guide with garment measurements in cm.
Will it look as good in person as in the photos?
Yes — and often better. Our product photos are taken on real models with minimal editing. The embroidery details on pieces like the Sweet Scribble Shirt are exactly as detailed and high-quality as shown. We regularly receive customer feedback saying products exceed expectations in person.
How do I care for my BareLayer pieces?
For embroidered pieces (like the Sweet Scribble Shirt), hand wash cold or use a delicate machine cycle inside-out. Air dry only — do not tumble dry. For cardigans, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and air dry flat. For brooches and hair accessories, keep dry and store flat.
